Paolo Bordignon, harpsichordist, in recital
Following the past two seasons’ sold-out concerts, Paolo Bordignon performs repertoire including Mozart’s Suite in C (K. 399), Bach's Partita No. 4 in D Major (BWV 838), and Bach’s Concerto in D Major (BWV 1054) with an ensemble of period instruments.

Requiem & Revelation
The American Symphony Orchestra presents Peter Cornelius’s Stabat Mater and Luigi Cherubini’s Requiem in C Minor with the Bard Festival Chorale under the direction of Leon Botstein.
Pre-concert talk at 7pm.

Adoration of the Magi

The visual centerpiece of St. Bartholomew’s Chapel is the 1919 Ethel Parsons Paullin and Telford Paullin mural Adoration of the Magi. Inspired by it and the 13 medallions that surround it, this program is a beautiful retelling of the Nativity of Christ with carols from around the world, spirituals, and popular Christmas favorites.

A Concert to Usher in the New Year

Ring in the new year with a fun and festive concert at 11 pm, followed by a champagne reception at the stroke of midnight. With pipes sounding into the resplendent nave from the chancel, the rear gallery, and even above in the dome, the dynamic range and vast color palette of the Æolian- Skinner organ at St. Bartholomew’s is an experience to behold.
No tickets needed but a $20 donation is suggested, either in advance here or at the concert.

The King’s Singers, Live in Concert
From mystical forests to stormy seas, The King’s Singers will take us on a journey through landscapes and ages, with a program celebrating much-loved British composers. We’re excited to welcome the acclaimed a capella group, with their trademark sound and humor, back to New York!

This recital continues St. Bartholomew’s decades-long tradition of organ recitals in Lent. Paolo Bordignon offers a 45-minute program including music of Johann Sebastian Bach on the day after the composer’s birthday.

Apple Hill String Quartet
The Apple Hill String Quartet, ensemble-in-residence at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in Nelson, NH, returns to perform their annual spring concert in St. Bartholomew’s Chapel.

Stepping out from behind the choir stalls, St. Bartholomew’s Choir presents a program of concert repertoire, including Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Francis Poulenc’s Gloria, and music of Samuel Barber. As well as singing every Sunday, our professional choir has appeared on NPR, CBS, CNN, and CNBC. A recent TV appearance on Now Hear This, presented by PBS Great Performances, was hailed as “among the highlights of the show” by the Wall Street Journal.
